Hi! I am Deanna, the owner of Canopy Counselling. I opened this practice because I want to help people feel seen, cared for, and hopeful. As a practitioner with ADHD, I bring a quirky, enthusiastic, practical, and warm approach to my sessions. I am direct and down to earth.

In my spare time, I like to explore with my dog, collect plants (hoya are the BEST), do yoga, hang out with my friends, and practice tarot (send me a message if you keep getting the tower card).

I use a mix of intuition, transpersonal, ecotherapy, body-based, emotion-focused, solution-focused, and acceptance and commitment therapy. You might ask yourself, “What does this mean?” Basically, we start by creating structure, which includes focusing on what is working and adding more of this. Then we move into processing the hard stuff, like intense emotions and past experiences. Counselling is a collaborative process and will look different for every person.
